Trip to Chessington

On Saturday 17th August, me, three of my friends and my parents took a trip to the theme park, 'Chessington World of Adventures'. Now me and my friends aren't massive roller-coaster fans but we still had an amazing time and we still enjoyed ourselves as much as possible.

Usually the journey to Chessington is very boring and not enjoyable at all, but since my friends were there we had a blast. We listened to music, we talked, we laughed and we waved at cars going past. We also saw a coach full of cute little old people and waved at them. Unfortunately we only got one wave back, but we were still very happy that we got that wave.

When we got there it looked very busy, or as I like to say, it was packed. However this didn't stop us from being excited and jumping up and down. We didn't actually do that. We were sitting in a car so we couldn't. But if we were standing up we probably would have.

The first ride we ventured off to was obviously 'Bubbleworks'. Even though it's a slow ride, some may even say it's a baby ride, we still loved every minute of it. Me and my friends went in one boat and my parents went in another. They didn't mind. Well at least I hope they didn't!

In the line waiting to have the time of our lives on bubbleworks.
Just got on the ride. Very excited!
Waiting to go on the big drop. I'm exaggerating. It was tiny.
See.
After 'Bubbleworks' we decided that we wanted to be daring and go on 'Vampire'. Now if you don't know what that is, it's ride where you are sitting in this seat with your legs dangling down and you get swished from side to side. Great explanation Becca, great explanation. I had been on 'Vampire' the last time I went to Chessington before and I loved it. Racheal had also been on the ride before when she was younger, but it was Lauren and Claire's first time on it. Throughout the queue, me and Racheal kept reassuring them that they will love it and that it's not as bad as it seems. Until I sat in the seat and started to panic a little bit. I was so excited before hand but then I suddenly became really nervous. I sat with Claire and I asked her if she wanted to hold my hand so she felt safe. Really I wanted to hold her hand so I felt safe. But once it got going I was fine and I think Claire was too. I love that ride and I always will. Me, Racheal and Lauren loved it and said that we would go on it again if we had time. Claire on the other hand decided she didn't really like the idea of that and voted against it. She loved it really. She just doesn't want to admit it.

Racheal is in the one in red and I'm behind her in blue.
Unfortunately we never did go back on that ride as we didn't have time.

The next ride that was quite close by was a small 'children' ride. I think it's called 'Seastorm'. Basically its a bunch of boats placed in a circle, one behind the other. It goes quickly round in a circle while moving up and down to make it feel like we are on the sea, then it turns the boat around so we are facing another boat and then the boats turn around again and then again and then we are back to normal position. Again great explanation Becca. All four of us love this ride so obviously we had to go on it. It's really fun for a children ride. Really fun.

During being in the queue for the ride we saw a competition stand thingy with minion toys from 'Despicable Me'. I love the film 'Despicable Me' and it's crazy that I haven't seen the sequel yet! After the ride Racheal decided that she wanted to try and win one. Lauren tried to buy a massive donut toy but failed, so Racheal was hoping that she would win a minion. She tried her hardest, but she also failed. To be fair it was quite hard to do. I didn't try, so I can't speak.

Once Racheal failed at her attempt, we decided it was about time that we went on 'Rattlesnake'. Me, Lauren and my parents started making our way to the ride while Racheal and Claire stayed on the toy stands to try and win some toys. They didn't. Me, Lauren and my dad went on 'Rattlesnake' and I must say, it was definitely more jolty than I remember it being. However, I do love the ride. It always seems that whenever we go on this ride it starts raining. At first it didn't, which was quite surprising, but then it started. It wasn't to bad, but it got worse as the day went on. The ride was really fun, even though we did spend most of the first part of it saying "Sorry if I squish you!".

After that ride we decided we wanted to check out the new ride called 'Zufari'. The only reason I wanted to go on this ride was because they had Giraffes. I love Giraffes. It just so happened that when we were waiting in the queue it chucked down with rain. Which meant that my mum put on her rain coat and Racheal and Lauren were putting on my parents rain ponchos that we got from 'Boots' when we were in London one time. Me and Claire were fine with getting wet, but as the queue went on, the rain died down and it stopped completely when we entered the ride. I enjoyed the ride, but I was a bit disappointed with the length of it. It could have been longer. I did, however, love seeing the Giraffes.

Rain ponchos - the new fashion.

Giraffes!!!

After 'Zufari', me and my friends went on 'Tomb-blaster' while my parents went to the Zoo. I think they had fun. We definitely had fun shooting target and each other. Throughout the whole time queuing for 'Tomb-blaster' all we could think about was chicken. This is because right next to 'Tomb-blaster' was a chicken shop and we could smell it. I think we all died and went to heaven when we smelt it, but then it made us want chicken and right up to the moment we got onto the ride we didn't stop saying "I want chicken." Once we were off the ride, me and Racheal chipped in money to get some chicken for ourselves. The others didn't want any so there were more for us. It took a while to get our chicken but it was worth it. Once the chicken was ours we headed off to the log flume.

I think this ride was the ride we were all very excited to go on from the moment we got to the theme park. We journeyed our way to the ride while me and Racheal ate our chicken. We got to the queue, finished our chicken and joined the queue. We didn't have to wait very long, which is good and we practically got on straight away. Once the ride started, all four of us regretted going on it and we started squirming like little worms. Do worms squirm? I don't know. There are two drops in the log flume. Both pretty scary. After the first one, we all wanted to get off, but we had to face the big drop. Before we went on the ride my mum asked us to shout "Giraffe" when we got to the top of the drop. So we kept shouting "Giraffe" and when we went down the big drop, I was half way through saying "Giraffe" which is why I look very scared. I wasn't. I was just saying "GIRAAAAAAAFFE". We all enjoyed the ride and were very glad we did it. We wanted to go on again but we didn't really have much time to.

We then went to go purchase some donuts for the journey home. We really wanted to go on the 'Monkey Swingers' and the bumper cars, so we had to pretty much run over to them. Me, Racheal and Claire went on the 'Monkey Swingers' after running as fast as we could. I really like the 'Monkey Swingers' as does Claire, but Racheal said that they confused her. Her mind was blown. I was a bit disappointed when going on it though because they used to squirt water at you, but they don't any more. Which is sad.

The last ride (if you even call it that) we went on was the bumper cars. Me and Racheal went in one car (Racheal was the driver) and both Claire and Lauren went in separate cars. I didn't particularly wanted one of my own because I find it awkward when you bump into people you don't know. But it's less awkward when you are with a friend. All I can say is Racheal did a very impressive reverse and we were both very proud of her.

All in all we had a very fun day and I was very happy that I convinced my parents to let us go. The journey home was fun. We listened to music, talked and ate a bunch of donuts. Afterwards we were stuffed and ready to go to bed. And that was our day at Chessington.

I hoped you enjoyed this blog post as much as we enjoyed the day. Comment below if you have ever been to 'Chessington World of Adventures' before and what is your favourite ride there. Or comment below what your favourite ride is in general.

First Ever Blog!

Hi everyone, my name is Becca and I am going to start blogging. Yay!

This blog will most probably consist of music, fashion, beauty and a whole bunch of randomness because I am a very random person. I'm new to all this blogging stuff so I am still quite confused about everything, but hopefully as I get going it will all become clear and I will be a pro. Well maybe not a pro, but I will have an idea of how this works.

This post isn't about anything in particular, it's just about me starting a blog and what it will contain. My first proper post will hopefully be uploaded tomorrow. That's if I can remember to do it!

Sorry this post is very short, but I can't imagine a lot of you will be reading it. So long story short, I'm Becca, I'm 16 years old and I have nothing to do with my life so I have decided to start blogging. I have a twitter account (https://twitter.com/Re_BeccaRBx) and a youtube account (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUkalk_p75EeEbfCkfgOlKA) so if you want to you can follow and subscribe to both of them for updates and things!

I'm going to go now. Keep an eye out for my next post! Before I go, I'm going to leave a picture of my bunny rabbit, because he's cute and fluffy!
Byeeeee!! :) x

He's so cute, isn't he? Photo taken by my Mother.
